It’s fun to do something people don’t expect all the time.  This is one that you can do and really impress all your friends.

1 French Baguette ($2.50 from our bakery)

           Sliced into  1/4 inch slices

2 package of Columbus Salame Company Prosciutto ($6.00 a package)

Melon of your choice ( we used cantaloupe for this wine tasting)

Sliced thin to roll with the prosciutto

Basil pesto or pesto of you choice

1 cup Balsamic vinegar reduced to a thick syrap

(to reduce the balsamic just put into sauce pan on medium low heat and slowly simmer till a thick syrap is formed)

Slice your baguette, and add a thin layer of pesto to each slice.  Bake at 325* for approximately 40 minutes, or until your slices are crouton texture.  Set aside and let cool.

Take one slice of Prosciutto and lay a slice of melon on top, roll together and place on top of the baguette slices (now they are Crostini slices), place on a serving tray to display.

Drizzle with balsamic syrap and serve and enjoy.
